Work related stress can result from a number of factors including more demands and commitments at work, redundancy, work place bullying, lack of job security, imbalance of home and work life or performance targets.

While many employers recognise that high demands are placed on employees; these demands can have a direct effect on job performance, and often begin a knock-on effect for other work related stresses to emerge. This can result in staff members feeling depressed, lethargic and with the perception that they have little or no value or voice in their workplace.

Discussing work related stress in therapy can help sufferers understand or develop strategies for dealing with stress and feel more confident and valued in their workplace.
