About Us
Direct Counselling UK is an established counselling service based in Nottingham, UK. We provide a wide range of counselling services, and have associations with fully qualified and accredited counsellors throughout the UK.
How We Work
Our primary aim is to provide quality, accessible counselling care at the time when our clients need it most. With this in mind, we have developed a flexible range of services, which make it easy and affordable for anyone to receive the counselling they need, in a way most suited to their lifestyle.
Qualified Counsellors
All our counsellors are qualified and experienced professionals, and are registered members of the BACP or UKCP. Our associate counsellors are facilitated by Anna-Marie Graves. Anna has a broad range of experience ranging from corporate and workplace counselling to local authority schools and universities, as well as an established private practice. Anna is also an active associate member of Direct Counselling UK.
Therapy Sessions
Your counsellor will work hard to develop an open, honest and trusting counselling relationship with you. They will seek to understand how things are for you and will help you look at your hopes and wishes, feelings, fears and anxieties.
Your counsellor may use a number of skills to help you to develop understanding, insight, awareness and solution to the issues that you bring. These interventions can include a number of therapeutic skills in addition to ‘talking through your feelings'.
Our counsellors work to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy (2002). They will maintain confidentiality and a non-judgemental approach at all times.
